The wonderful use of purple, blue and aquamarine enriches an already dynamic palette in a window that is referred to as “The Creation Window”. John Duncan has excelled in his sensitive and very human portrayal of Christ as “The Word” by whom all things came into being and continue to exist. Christ is revealed here as central to the whole of the created order and is surrounded by hosts of angels, birds, animals and mammals. The text from John 1 v 3 supports this colourful interpretation of Christ’s activity in both the genesis and recreation of all things.
