The use of Norman slab glass and a delicate palette that includes pinks, lilacs and gold gives this window an otherworldly quality. It depicts a kneeling St John surrounded by a host of angels, having his first sight of the new heaven and earth and of “the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God”. He describes the holy city, “the city has no need of sun or moon to shine on it, for the glory of God is its light.”  Revelation 21
