Support

We wouldn’t be able to provide essential services to our most vulnerable neighbours without your help.  As a small charity, we rely on the support of individuals and organisations to continue to run our dementia daycare, carer befriending programmes and other community services.

There are many ways that you can contribute toward our vital work:

Other Ways to Help

  • Fundraise for us

Are you training for a charity event?  Would you like to raise money for a great cause and give yourself a fitness target too?  We are very grateful to the volunteer fundraisers who raise money on our behalf.  For more information about how you might get involved, please email us for more information.

When possible, we are pleased to support these efforts through our social media; so please let us know your plans so we can help you raise even more.

  • Become a Member

Our Members are special supporters who contribute toward our work and are invited to participate in our AGM.   We thank them for their generous and loyal support with:

    • advance invitations to our events
    • occasional newsletters with more in-depth articles about how we use their support
    • A 10% discount on our café serving coffee, tea, homemade soups, sandwiches and baked goods

To find out more about becoming a Member, click here or pop in to the Centre for a leaflet.

Thank you for considering supporting our work in this special way

  • Come Along to an Event

We host many events throughout the year: concerts, lectures, book launches, craft fairs, receptions and our Annual Burns Supper to name a few.  After we cover our costs, the proceeds of these events are re-invested in the Centre’s activities and services.

Please click here to see What’s On this week.

  • Companies

We’re keen to hear from local and national companies about their social objectives and CSR agendas and talk to you about ways we can help you achieve them. Our fundraising team has over 20 years of experience from dealing with multi-nationals to small and medium-sized local companies, so we can find you many ways and ideas in which you and your colleagues can help a well-known local Edinburgh charity.

If you would like any further information, please contact our Fundraising Team on 0131 447 4520 or email them.

The Eric Liddell Centre would like to thank the following companies for their support of our services across Edinburgh through their generous donations:
Sainsburys
ASDA
Turcan Connell Solicitors
Scottish Widows
William Purves & Sons

Leaving a Legacy and In-Memoriam Donations

Remembering the Eric Liddell Centre in your Will or through the memory of a loved one are special ways to support our work.

Leave us a Legacy

After providing for those you care for, please consider leaving just a small proportion of what’s left over to support the work of the Eric Liddell Centre.  Every gift, regardless of size, counts. We appreciate that leaving a gift in a Will is a very personal decision and we promise to respect you and your choices.

We are registered with the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator, OSCR (SC 003147). For more information about leaving us a legacy, please contact us.

Gifts in Memory

These days, many families decide to honour the life of a lost loved one by suggesting donations in lieu of giving flowers. These gifts are a special gesture that help further a cause close to the family or loved one. If you would like more information about organising Gifts in Memory on behalf of a loved one, please contact us.
