Carer/Dementia Support Worker

Carer/Dementia Support Worker

The Eric Liddell Centre is a care charity and community hub in the South West of Edinburgh delivering a range of services throughout the city. The Centre offers specialist caring services in addition to offering flexible space for use by the local community either for one off activity or by providing tenanted space to small voluntary sector organisations.

The Care and Dementia programmes support carers and people with dementia by providing befriending, social and emotional support, day trips, peer support opportunities and information, providing a break from caring responsibilities. The Carer/Dementia Support Worker will assist the Dementia Befriending & Carer Support Programmes Manager with the day-to-day running and development of the programmes.

If you are interested in community health, wellbeing, and are passionate about enriching and supporting people’s lives, please get in touch. This is an initial 8-month appointment with the possibility of further extension.
