Eric Liddell Centre Funding Boost to Benefit Visitors with Hearing Problems

The Eric Liddell Centre is making steps to improve accessibility for visitors with hearing issues thanks to an award from the Elise Pilkington Charitable Trust.

The South Edinburgh based care charity and community hub received an award of £4,699.38 from the Trust which will be used to install and upgrade hearing loop systems in three rooms which are available for the public to book for meetings, conferences and training sessions.

John MacMillan, Chief Executive of the Eric Liddell Centre said: “We are hugely appreciative of the award from the Elise Pilkington Charitable Trust. We aim to bring Edinburgh’s communities together, and the upgrades to our building made possible by this award will enable us to empower those in our community who have issues with their hearing to be able to confidently participate in social activity.”
