We wouldn’t be able to provide essential services to our most vulnerable neighbours without your help.  As a small charity, we rely on the generosity and support of individuals and organisations to continue to run our vital community services.

There are many ways that you can contribute towards our work and help us continue to provide care to people across Edinburgh:

Every donation, no matter how small, directly benefits a vulnerable or isolated person living in Edinburgh’s communities.

A gift of £7 provides a nutritious homemade two-course lunch for one of our Day Care service clients, £30 covers the costs of helping one carer through the Befriending service, while a gift of £200 would pay to keep our whole centre lit and warm for an entire day.

Ways in which you can donate are:

  • On the National Funding website –
  • Cheque- made payable to The Eric Liddell Centre
  • Cash- handed in at reception
  • Text- To donate £5, text ELC01 to 70970, To donate £10, text ELC01 to 70191

Fundraising, payments and donations will be processed and administered by the National Funding Scheme (Charity No: 1149800), operating as DONATE. Texts will be charged at your standard network rate. For Terms & Conditions, please visit

Leaving a Legacy and In-Memoriam Donations

Remembering the Eric Liddell Centre in your Will or through the memory of a loved one is a generous and greatly appreciated gesture.

Leave us a Legacy

After providing for those you care for, please consider leaving just a small proportion of what’s left over to support the work of the Eric Liddell Centre.  Every gift, regardless of size, counts. We appreciate that leaving a gift in a Will is a very personal decision and we promise to respect you and your choices.

We are registered with the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator, OSCR (SC 003147). For more information about leaving us a legacy, please contact us.

Gifts in Memory

Many families decide to honour the life of a loved one by suggesting charitable donations in lieu of giving flowers. These gifts are a special gesture that help further a cause close to the family or loved one. If you would like more information about organising Gifts in Memory on behalf of a loved one, or leaving a legacy, please contact us.
